The Homestead Garden
is a pleasant place in which to unwind with a book, stroll or just sit and enjoy the scenery. Birdlife abounds and a number of magnificent specimen trees provide shade in the heat of the day.

Fish for Murray cod and trout along the Homestead river frontage.

Lake Buffalo, only a five minute trip up the road, is an excellent spot for fishing, boating, swimming and water skiing.

Located off the beaten track in a tranquil beautiful valley our units are not only the perfect base to get away from it all but they are also central for easy-drive day trips to

What Can You Do Whilst Staying At Nug Nug?

Feed the baby goats (Sept-Dec)  -  pat the ponies - try catching some yabbies from the Nug Nug Wah Lake.... enjoy a dip in the pool, or partake of some table tennis in the pool complex......or simply enjoy the peace and serenity of the gardens and river frontage 

There is much to see and do using Nug Nug Wah Homestead as your home base

Visit the Dandongadale Falls .. Victoria's longest at 255m ....and the small but scenic Lake Cobbler

Explore the historic towns of Beechworth, Yackandandah and Glenrowan at your leisure

Why not bring your bicycle, or hire locally, and ride the 'RAIL TRAIL" which connects Myrtleford to Bright, Beechworth and Wangaratta

Spend a day on Mount Buffalo .. and enjoy the  magnificent views over the "roof of Australia"

Fish along our river frontage or at Lake Buffalo only 4 kms up the road 

Sample the local wines and cheese
